Curriculum Vitae (CV) is a summary of your experience, skills, education, achievements and other relevant professional information.


Employers spend an average of 1 minute reading a CV, so your goal is to present the information in an easy-to-read and attractive way.

Hoe to achieve it?

 

  • Always remember that a good CV matches the job advertisement.
  • Read the job description and highlight the essential and desirable criteria that relate to your personal experience and education.
  • Adjust your CV accordingly according to the job position, industry, essential skills required.
  • Check the training and education in the job advertisement is wanted and show it in your resume.
  • Put the work experience most related to the job position at the beginning of the CV and describe your experience in short sentences, taking into account the requirements set out in the job advertisement.

Designing your CV:

  • Aesthetically attractive CV design – shows your skills, understanding of formatting, demonstrates your creativity, engages and helps the reader get to know you more easily.
  • Where to create a design? – MS powerpoint (Portrait, A4); Indesign, Canva.
  • CV created with WORD is not recommended.

Check:

  • Structure – is it dynamic, continuous.
  • Colors and contrast – are they clear?
  • Language style – is it understandable?
